Floors
The floor types in a clean room installation can be made of different materials:
Epoxide resin floor: The floor covering is continuous over the whole surface, applying a self-levelling resin mortar and epoxide binder. For application in washing areas, the layer can be non-skid, adding silica dust granules.
This floor has an excellent mechanical, chemical and abrasion resistance. It is easy to clean, waterproof and has a wide range of colours.
PVC floor: This is another good option to be used in clean rooms.
This floor consists in an antistatic PVC covering with 2-3 mm thickness, uninterrupted or with paving tiles welded together. In both cases, the final features of the floor are the same.
This kind of floor has an excellent abrasion, notch and stain resistance. The covering is well adapted for heavy duty traffic of people or machinery, with a manufacturing that assures a maximum of hygiene and easy maintenance.
Epoxide painted floor: You can apply directly epoxide paint on a bottom previously treated and prepared.
Others: Methacrylate, ininterrupted terrazzo, porcelain tiles etc. These floors are not so common, but also usable for certain types of installation.
